Just What Makes A Community?

There are very few of us who don’t sit there reading the newspaper or watching the TV and complain about actions of the Government or Local Authority or some organisation that wishes to stamp their authority or influence over some part of our lives when we would rather they didn’t.  Or we moan about what has happened to standards in the country since the days when we were young and growing up.  Unfortunately, muttering and chuntering about things in private is not going to make any difference to the quality of life that we each want for ourselves and our family.

With many of these influences on our lives there is little we can do directly as individuals to influence or create change unless we are made of the stuff to become a politician or ‘captain of industry’.  However, what each and every one of us can do is take more interest and take an active part in our chosen community.  See our Social Networking article for more ideas on getting involved.
