Christmas Events In Battle

Lights On, Saturday 28th November

2.00pm - Father Christmas will arrive accompanied by the Langton Loons and the Kingfisher Band in a parade down the High Street.

2.00 - 4.30pm - The well loved Charity Market can be found in the Sheppard Room in the Memorial Hall.  Please support your favorite charity.  The Saxonwood Women's Institute will be providing tea, coffee and cakes in the St Valery room of the Memorial Hall.  There will be aeroplane and teacup rides on the Abbey Green together with a roasted chestnuts stand.

2.15 - 4.45pm - Father Christmas will see the children in hid magical grotto in the Memorial Hall.  Tickets will be sold with the approximate timings to shorten the wait (£1.50 to include a present).  Tickets will be on sale on the day from 2.15pm and numbers will be limited.  Uncle Bumble and Crazy Bumble will entertain with jokes, face painting and balloon animals.

5.00pm - Father Christmas will switch on the Battle Christmas Lights from the main Christmas tree by the Abbey Green.

Choose your favorite Christmas window display from any of the businesses around Battle and return your form to Alan Hunting Associates on Mount Street by 18.12.09.  (You will find the form inside the Battle Christmas Celebrations leaflet or ask at Alan Hunting Associates).  Your vote will be entered in the prize draw to win a mystery prize

'Lights of Love' (in aid of St Michael's Hospice)

At 3.00pm on 6th December at St Mary's Church.  Remember a loved one at Christmas by dedicating a silver star on the tree at St Mary's Church.

 St. Mary's Church 'Tree Festival'.

St. Mary's Church will be hosting a Tree Festival on 28th and 29th November.  All are welcome, so why not come along and have a look.  The Festival will remain open until 10th December.

Gala Night.

Thursday 10th December will see the shops in Battle remain open until 9pm.  Come along and see the traders in Fancy Dress.  (There is free parking in the Abbey Car Park from 5.30pm to 9.00pm).

Abbey Green and Around Town 6.00 - 8.00pm - Songs and music on the Abbey Green provided by Battle and Langton School Choir, The Melodians and Battle Town Band.

Wealden Craftsworkers Christmas Fair at the Memorial Hall 3.30 - 9.00pm - Genuine crafts by people who live and work locally.  Entry is FREE.

Battle Town Council at The Almonry 6.00 - 8.00pm - Meet Father Christmas in his Grotto.

Old Ladies Court - Battle Churches Choir will perform.

Vicary's Car Showroom - BJ's Band plays Christmas music.  The Beavers and Cubs will run their Tombola.
