Photo Dog Show – This Photo Dog Show will run throughout 2009, leading to the overall winner being given the title – “St Michael’s Hospice Photo Dog of the Year 2009.”  The competition will be in 4 parts, corresponding to the four seasons. Photo Cat Show – “St Michael’s Hospice Photo Cat Show 2009.” Encourage your cat to compete for the title: ‘Best in Show.’  6 classes:  Most Beautiful Boy, Gorgeous Girl, Cutest Kitten, Golden Oldie, Best of Friends, and In the Spring, £1 per entry.  The competition will be in 4 parts, corresponding to the four seasons.  Part 3 – Summer

Saturday 1st August – Coffee Morning - St Michael’s Hospice, 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea.  10.30am – 12.00pm.  Entrance 40p (includes Tea/Coffee & Biscuits).  All proceeds to St Michael’s Hospice.

Saturday & Sunday 1st & 2nd August – Step Back in Time.  New site on A21.  Kent Street, opposite Sedlescombe Golf Course.  10am – 5pm. Kuchina Johnsons’ Dancing Horses, Rural Crafts, Games, Silent Auction, Dressage Show, Ditto Dogs Scurry, featuring bands Richochet, Lumpy & The Lumpets, Bar, Refreshments, BBQ, and much more!!  Adults - £5, Concessions - £3, Children (5-14) - £2. Wednesday 5th August - Afternoon Bingo – Arthur Easton Centre, St Michael’s Hospice, 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea. 2.00pm – 4.00pm. £3 for 6 books with ten games.  Call - 01424 456396. All proceeds to St Michael’s Hospice. 
Sunday 9th August – Pirates Picnic.  In the grounds of St Michael's Hospice, 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea.  11am - 3pm.  Pirate Show, Treasure Trail, Fun Pirate Stalls, Pirate Craft, Refreshments and more!!  Call - Marcia Dart 01424 456381.  All proceeds to St Michael’s Hospice.

Sunday 16th August - Whist Drive - The Arthur Easton Centre, St Michael’s Hospice, 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea. 2.30pm. Entrance £2.50 (includes refreshments).  All proceeds to St Michael’s Hospice.

Saturday 22nd August – Clothes Clearance Sale. The Arthur Easton Centre,
St Michael’s Hospice, 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea. 10am – 12pm.  Bed Linens, Curtains, Clothes of all styles in very good condition at knock down prices.

Sunday 23rd August – Ashburnham Ride & Walk.  Approximately 10 miles  Riding or Walking through the beautiful Vale of Ashburnham (non-jumping).  Entry Fees – Riders £18 in advance, £22 on the day.   Walkers (including dogs) £5 in advance and on the day.  Send SAE to Sue Sibbering, Merriams, Red Pale, Dallington, TN21 9NR.  Proceeds split between St Michael’s Hospice & Ashburnham Village.
